Accessibro helps you make PowerPoint and Word files accessible. Your files are often sensitive: unpublished research, student data, pre-release material. So we built the product around a simple promise, and this page explains it plainly. If anything here is unclear, email us at info@emerginglearningsolutions.com.

Your files come first

When you upload a document, we open it only to run the accessibility scan and, if you approve it, to apply the fixes. Your file lives only for the length of your working session (up to about an hour) on the server that processes it, and it is deleted the moment that session ends. We do not keep a library of your uploads, and the remediated file you download is the only copy that exists afterward.

Your file content is sent to our AI provider only to generate your fixes. It is never used to train AI models, ours or anyone else's.

We keep some non-content details about a scan for our own metrics: the number of slides or pages, how many issues were found, the price, and the file type. By default, that is all we keep. Your document's words, images, and data are not retained unless you turn on detailed records, described below.

When a file is remediated, we save a remediation record to your account: the file's name, when it was delivered, and the counts of what was found, fixed, and flagged for a person. It is the audit trail many institutions need, and by default it contains none of your file's content. You can download it as an Excel file or delete it, one record or all of them, from your account at any time.

If you turn on detailed records (off unless you enable it, under Records in your account), each new delivery also keeps a line-by-line list of the fixes: what each item was and what it became, such as the alt text that was written. Those lines contain the text of the fixes, never the file itself, and they follow the same rule as everything else here: yours to download, yours to delete, at any time.

What we collect

To run your account and the service, we collect:

  • Account details: your email address, and, if you tell us, your name and organization.
  • Onboarding answers: the segment you work in, how you heard about us, and roughly how much you need to remediate. These help us understand who we are building for.
  • Billing records: your plan, credit balance, and a ledger of charges and refunds. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
  • Scan metadata: the counts and price described above, never file content.
  • Remediation records: per-file name, dates, and counts as described above, plus the line-by-line fix text if you turned on detailed records. Kept until you delete them.
  • Basic technical data: the standard request information (like IP address and browser type) that any web service receives, used to keep the service running and secure.

How we use it

We use this information to:

  • Sign you in and run scans and remediations you request.
  • Bill you correctly and issue refunds when we owe them.
  • Send you the emails the service needs, like your sign-in code.
  • Understand how the product is used so we can improve it.
  • Keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run third-party advertising trackers.

How long we keep things

Uploaded and remediated files: deleted when your session ends, as described above. Remediation records: kept until you delete them yourself, from your account, so your institution's audit trail is as durable as you need it to be. Account, billing, and metadata records: kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your account data at any time.

How we protect it

Data is encrypted in transit. Access to our systems is limited to what is needed to run the service. No system is perfectly secure, but we hold our own product to the WCAG 2.1 AA standard and we take the same care with your data.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to close your account. Email info@emerginglearningsolutions.com and we will help. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws like the GDPR or CCPA; we honor those requests.

Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers that help us run Accessibro, and only for that purpose. Our main providers are:

  • Anthropic (Claude): processes your file content to generate fixes. Not used for training.
  • Supabase: authentication and our database (account, billing, and metadata records).
  • Stripe: payment processing.
  • Resend: sending account emails.
  • Google: optional “Sign in with Google.”
  • Vercel and Railway: hosting the website and the processing server.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the service.

Children

Accessibro is a tool for educators, institutions, and professionals. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and its “last updated” date. For significant changes, we will do our best to let you know directly.
